MB invites Kuang, Batu Tiga residents to participate in free health checks tomorrow

SHAH ALAM, Aug 20 — Kuang and Batu Tiga constituents are invited to take part in the state’s free health screening programme Selangor Saring tomorrow.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari through a post on Facebook today said the programme will be held at Dewan Kampung Permata, Kundang (Kuang state constituency) and Dewan Heritier Hall, Seksyen 24, Shah Alam (Batu Tiga state constituency).

He reminded residents to register for the free health screening on the SELangkah mobile app.

To ensure the programme’s success, the state government has set aside RM3.4 million in its budget, which would benefit 39,000 people, particularly those with a family medical history, who are obese and practise an unhealthy lifestyle.

The programme, which will run until September 4 provides physical screening, blood and urine tests, eye, cervical, and breast cancer screenings, as well as occult faeces or colon and prostate cancer testing.
