MB launches draft plan to develop Hulu Selangor areas near Genting Highlands

BENTONG, Aug 23 — Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari has officiated the publicity and public participation programme for the Genting Highlands-Hulu Selangor Special Area Plan Draft, at the Geo Resort and Hotel in Pahang today.

The draft, prepared by the Hulu Selangor Municipal Council (MPHS) and Selangor PLANMalaysia, aims to increase the development potential of land around Genting Highlands which falls under the Hulu Selangor district.

The document will serve as a guideline for the implementation of sustainable development, in order to prevent negative environmental impact.

Aside from Amirudin, the ceremony was also attended by state executive councillor for local government Ng Sze Han, state executive councillor for tourism Hee Loy Sian and MPHS president Mohd Hasri Nor Mohd.

Parties with interest including stakeholders and land owners can review the draft report from August 16 to September 15 at the MPHS headquarters’ lobby, or Selangor PLANMalaysia’s office at Bangunan Darul Ehsan in Shah Alam.
