Affordable sales continue in nine locations today

SHAH ALAM, Sept 15 — The Jelajah Ehsan Rakyat affordable sales programme offering daily necessities continues in nine selected locations throughout Selangor today, from 9am until 1pm.

The locations include paddy collection site at Parit 3 1/2 (Sabak), Puteri Central Park, Bandar Tasik Puteri (Kuang), Bandar Rinching Seksyen 1-2 (Semenyih) and Kampung Kemensah (Hulu Kelang)

Meanwhile, the programme is also held concurrently at Flat Merpati B (Pandan Indah), parking area in Jalan Bukit Badak, SMK Subang (Kota Damansara), Surau Bilal Ibnu Rabah, Persiaran Hamzah Alang (Meru), Taman Cempakasari 2, Batu 4 Jalan Kapar (Sementa) and Bandar Saujana Putra (Sijangkang).

Selangor has allocated an additional RM10 million to continue the Jualan Ehsan Rakyat in all 56 state constituencies from August 31 to December 31.

On August 30, Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari announced the programme focuses on six basic items including chicken, beef, fish, chicken eggs, rice and cooking oil.

The initiative, managed by the Selangor Agricultural Development Corporation (PKPS) aimed to alleviate the people’s burden due to rising costs of food and has benefitted 80,000 people since it began in December last year.
