Central Spectrum focuses on the sale of real estate in logistics industry

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 8 — The main developer of Pulau Indah Industrial Park, Central Spectrum (M) Sdn Bhd (CSSB) continues to focus on the sale of logistics industry properties following consistent demand for areas for warehouse facilities that act as operational and distribution centres.

Its chief marketing officer Zukarnine Shah Zainal Abidin said Pulau Indah is located near the second busiest container port in Asean and two major international airports as well as domestic railways making it a strategic location for customers in the logistics industry who want to develop warehouses with basic infrastructure.

“Pulau Indah meets all the important requirements for logistics purposes with its strategic location and complete basic infrastructures such as water, electricity, gas, telecommunications and access to main roads that play an important role for business development,” he told Bernama when met at the Selangor International Business Summit 2022 (SIBS 2022) recently.

He explained that Central Spectrum still uses the model of providing areas and basic facilities due to the fact that most companies require different requirements and warehouses are built according to specific uses.

He said although the demand for industrial properties has increased, CSSB also has plans to develop residential and housing areas in line with the increase in factories and job opportunities in Pulau Indah.

He added that Central Spectrum is always looking for opportunities to attract more foreign investors and is confident of developing Pulau Indah through close cooperation with Invest Selangor Bhd, especially during trade missions and expo participation.

Zukarnine said Invest Selangor’s role as a one-stop agency to provide information, advisory services as well as start-up or expansion assistance to potential and existing investors makes it easier for CSSB to attract investment to Pulau Indah.

“Through participation in trade missions or organising events such as SIBS 2022, CSSB can identify countries that need trading locations in port areas and if there is a specific incentive required by potential investors, we will refer to Invest Selangor for advice,” he said.

He also said that the rapid economic growth of Selangor, which contributes almost 25 per cent to the Malaysian economy, is also a major factor in the state becoming a preferred destination for investors.

“Most economic activities are concentrated in Selangor and CSSB takes an approach by assessing whether a company is able to pass up the opportunity not to do business in this state. This advantage is what we highlight to foreign investors,” he said.

Central Spectrum, a member of Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) is an industrial, commercial and investment property developer.

The company’s portfolio includes Pulau Indah Industrial Park, Selangor Halal Hub and SBB Industrial Park.
