Uplifting all will lead to more compassionate society — MB

SHAH ALAM, Oct 9 — The state government will continue its endeavour to uplift all Selangor residents without leaving anyone behind, said Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.

In his address for Maulidur Rasul, he said it was the duty of the state government to do so, which in turn will produce a more compassionate society.

“As a result, we will be kinder to one other, and bring about a better society and state. May Selangor constantly be blessed by the Almighty, in line with His guidance,” Amirudin said in a statement.

Citing several Qu’ranic verses, he reminded the public that Islam, as with all religions, calls upon its adherents to uphold justice and do good for one and all.

“All the verses are clear, and support the fact that the purpose of humanity’s creation, existence, death; the creation of the world and all contained therein, is as a test.

“A test for humans to take action and benefit thereof, to do good and avoid evil, doing what is right and to not cause mischief and damage,” Amirudin said.
