Wet weather, thundery showers continue in four Selangor districts, Putrajaya till 1pm

SHAH ALAM, Oct 12 — Heavy rain, strong wind and thunderstorms are expected to continue in four districts in Selangor until 1pm today, said the Malaysian Meteorological Department (METMalaysia).

In a statement issued at 9.55am, the agency said the districts include Hulu Selangor, Klang, Kuala Langat and Sepang.

Other states and territories that will see similar weather conditions include Putrajaya, Kedah, Penang, Perak, Pahang, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka and Johor.

The warning by METMalaysia is issued when there are signs of thunderstorms with rainfall intensity exceeding 20mm/hour or expected to take place for over an hour.

The thunderstorm warning is a short-term warning which is valid within six hours after it was issued.
