GE15: Tight race in three states south of Peninsular

SHAH ALAM, Nov 5 — Several key leaders face stiff competition in defending their seats during the ongoing 15th general election (GE15), including Perikatan Nasional (PN) chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, and Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun.

Similarly, Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman, Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub, and Maszlee Malik who represent Pakatan Harapan are expected to put in the elbow grease in order to retain their respective seats.

The following is a list of interesting seats and candidates to watch out for in Negeri Sembilan, Melaka and Johor:

Negeri Sembilan

  • P128 Seremban: Incumbent Anthony Loke (Harapan) challenged by Felicia Wong (BN)
  • P131 Rembau: Jufitri Joha (Harapan) challenging incumbent Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan (BN)
  • P132 Port Dickson: Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun (Harapan) challenging Datuk P. Kamalanathan (BN) and Independent candidate Rani Kulup.

Melaka

  • P135 Alor Gajah: Adly Zahari (Harapan) challenging incumbent Datuk Seri Mohd Redzuan Md Yusof (PN)
  • P137 Hang Tuah Jaya: Incumbent Adam Adli Abd Halim (Harapan) challenged by Mohd Ridhwan Mohd Ali (BN)

Johor

  • P140 Pagoh: Incumbent Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin (PN) challenged by Datuk Seri Razali Ibrahim (BN) and Iskandar Shah (Harapan)
  • P146 Muar: Incumbent Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman (Harapan) challenged by Mohd Helmy Abdul Latif (BN)
  • P148 Ayer Hitam: Incumbent Datuk Seri Wee Ka Siong*(BN) challenged by Sheikh Umar Bagharib Ali (Harapan)
  • P151 Simpang Renggam: Incumbent Maszlee Malik (Harapan) challenged by Datuk Seri Hasni Mohammad (BN)
