MBSJ to build RM16.25 million modern sports complex, completion in Aug 2024

SUBANG JAYA, Nov 3 — The Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) is set to construct a Public Facilities and Sports Complex in Taman Wawasan, Pusat Bandar Puchong.

Mayor Datuk Johary Anuar said the 4.31-acre complex, which will cost RM16.25 million, shall be equipped with an international-standard futsal court, and is expected to be completed by August 2024.

“This complex will have a modern concept, and is also include various facilities like a Fifa-size futsal court (42m x 25m) that can accommodate approximately 1,018 spectators.

“MBSJ is the only local authority to build an international standard futsal court of this kind,” he said.

Earlier, Johary was joined by state executive councillor for local government Ng Sze Han for the groundbreaking ceremony of the complex’s construction project, earlier today.

He added the complex’s other amenities include locker rooms, referee rooms, guest rooms, media rooms, a surau, and toilets.

“This high-impact project is carried out in line with MBSJ’s vision of achieving a sustainable city that is smart, commercial-friendly and has a great residential environment,” Johary said.
