Selangor allocates RM1.47 mln for slope repair at Taman Bukit Permai

SHAH ALAM, Nov 24 — The Selangor government has approved RM1.471 million for the repair of the slope in Taman Bukit Permai, Hulu Langat which was affected by a landslide last June, the Selangor State Legislative Assembly was told today.

State Infrastructure and Public Amenities, Agriculture, Modernisation and Agro-based Industry Committee chairman Izham Hashim said that as of September 30, ​the status of the project to restore collapsed land in the area was 62 per cent.

Izham was responding to a question from Teratai state assemblyman Lai Wai Chong who wanted to know the status of the landslide in Taman Bukit Permai, which came under the Teratai state constituency previously.

Meanwhile, he said that the state government has allocated RM35,000 to 70 families affected by the landslide, with each family receiving a contribution of RM500.

“In addition, the owners of six damaged cars received a contribution of RM500, making a total of RM3,000 contribution from the Tabung Amanah Bencana Alam (State Natural Disaster Fund),” he said.

In a separate development, Izham said the construction of the Petaling Jaya Dispersal Link (PJD Link) project has not yet been finalised at the state government level as no Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Social Impact Assessment (SIA), and Transport Impact Assessment (TIA) ) have been conducted so far.

“The studies have to be submitted to the Selangor Economic Action Council (MTES) and endorsed by the State Executive Council, including settlement of land matters,” he said.

He was responding to a question from Bukit Gasing state representative R. Rajiv who wanted to know the latest status of the application for the construction of the PJD Link.
