SHAH ALAM, Jan 4 — The Hulu Selangor Municipal Council (MPHS) provides ‘Roll On Roll Off’ (RoRo) bins in 33 locations starting January 5.
The local authority said the facilities are provided free of charge to help people dispose of bulk garbage in conjunction with the Chinese New Year celebrations.
“The public can throw bulk garbage such as old furniture, electrical items and others, as well as garden waste in the RoRo bins,” it said in a Facebook post.
MPHS also said that the three-tonne capacity bins will be placed for eight days and will be removed earlier if it is found to be full.
“Residents are requested to throw away bulk garbage in the bins provided to facilitate the contractors in collecting and taking care of the surrounding area.
“However, domestic or kitchen waste is absolutely forbidden to be thrown into the RoRo bins,” it said.
