Over 80,000 people registered for basic treatment assistance as of Dec 2022

SHAH ALAM, Jan 5 — Some 83,537 people in Selangor have registered for the Iltizam Selangor Sihat (ISS) programme to get basic treatment assistance of up to RM500, as of December 7, 2022.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the initiative provides insurance coverage of up to RM5,000 and a death benefit of RM1,000.

“100,000 recipients have been targeted to register under ISS and receive benefits for basic treatment assistance and insurance coverage. Alhamdulillah (All praises be to Allah), some 83,537 people have registered as of December 7, 2022.

“The recipients will be given basic treatment assistance up to RM500, insurance coverage up to RM5,000 and death benefit of RM1,000,” he said in a Facebook post today.

The programme also provides access to people from low-income families in Selangor to get their vaccines and insurance coverage.

Eligibility requirements are as follows:

  • Family category: Household income of RM3,000 and dependents aged 21 (student) and below
  • Individual category: Household income of RM2,000/disabled persons (OKU) card holder/ senior citizens aged above 65
  • Additional requirement: Applicants must be a voter in Selangor
