586 food operators offer Menu Rahmah

KEPALA BATAS, Feb 25 — A total of 586 food operators nationwide have registered to offer Menu Rahmah at their restaurants.

Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry (KPDN) deputy secretary-general Datuk Roziah Abudin said that the Menu Rahmah initiative is seen as being able to bring about a positive impact on the traders.

“We have received feedback from the particpating food operators saying that the Menu Rahmah initiative has become a crowdpuller for them.

“We hope that more food operators will take part in the Menu Rahmah initiative on a voluntary basis,” she told reporters after the launch of Menu Rahmah intiative at Bafana Roasters Sdn Bhd in Bertam today.

Roziah added that Menu Rahmah meals were not only for the B40 group but it can be enjoyed by all segments of the society.

She also said that the ministry hoped that the initiative would continue to be implemented and offering meals at a reasonable price would become a culture among traders as well as food operators.
