4,000 homes up for grabs at Bumiputera property expo, discounts up to 15 pct

KUALA LUMPUR, May 24 – Over 4,000 residential units will be made available at the upcoming Bumiputera Property Exhibition (BPEX), which is set to take place at the Mid Valley Exhibition Centre this weekend (May 27 and 28) from 11am to 9pm.

Marvel Management Communication Sdn Bhd managing director Datuk Norashikin Taib said that the properties showcased at the exhibition are located in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur and priced from RM250,000 to RM2 million.

With discounts of up to 15 per cent and participation of 50 developers, Norashikin urged young Bumiputeras to visit the exhibition to seize the opportunity in owning their first home.

“Various financial assistance options are available at the exhibition, including Syarikat Jaminan Kredit Perumahan Berhad (SJKP) to assist individuals without payslips,” she said at the BPEX press conference at the Westlink Garage and Cafe, here yesterday, adding that other financial institutions will also participate in the exhibition to provide advisory services.

Also present was state executive councillor for housing and urban wellbeing Rodziah Ismail.

Meanwhile, Norashikin said that the event aims to achieve over 80 per cent of sales from the 4,000 housing units offered at the two-day exhibition.

“The exhibition held last year recorded property transactions of approximately RM50 million.

“In addition to the sales exhibition, we are also providing house-buying tips from property experts at noon on the first day of the exhibition,” she added.
