KSSA project will go on, but not rushed — MB

SHAH ALAM, May 18 — The Shah Alam Sports Complex (KSSA) development project will be carried out according to procedure and not rushed to avoid any controversy or disputes, says Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.

“Whatever happens it (development) will continue, because it is not my wish but the wishes of the Selangor (football) supporters, as well as that of the Sultan of Selangor and the Raja Muda of Selangor. I hope this project can be carried out according to the trust given,” he said.

Amirudin was responding to queries asking him to comment on whether the construction would be carried out before or after the state election.

Earlier, the Menteri Besar attended the Semarakkan Syawal 2023 open house hosted by Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) at the Setia City Convention Centre, which was attended by around 1,000 stakeholders.

Elaborating on the status of the project, he said discussions were still being held over the value and size of the land exchange and it had not yet been brought to the state’s executive council meeting.

Previously, the Sultan of Selangor at the opening ceremony of the sixth term of the 14th Selangor State Legislative Assembly called for the KSSA construction process to be carried out immediately in an orderly and transparent manner, meeting the set time, cost and quality, for the benefit of the people.
