GOMBAK, July 29 — The Pakatan Harapan state administration has proven capable of handling unexpected incidents, like the Covid-19 pandemic and the major floods in 2021.
Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said this is a clear testament to the existing administration’s ability in withstanding tough challenges, and its efforts in continuing to defend the people.
“For this two-week campaign period, we have continued the momentum of our previous achievements. We faced the challenges of Covid-19, floods, and economic issues.
“We succeeded in overcoming all of them. These are all concrete proofs that we do not make empty promises,” said the Harapan Selangor chairman.
Speaking after the candidate nomination process at SMK Sungai Pusu earlier today, Amirudin also admitted that some Perikatan Nasional (PN) candidates (formerly with Harapan) had also contributed to Selangor’s development.
“However, they were not involved in the major floods and Covid-19 testing. The people see how the leadership has progressed and developed in these five years,” he said.
Amirudin, contesting in the Sungai Tua state seat, faces off against PN’s Muhammad Hanif Jamaluddin, and Independent candidate Suman Gopal.
