GOMBAK, July 29 — Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari is confident at being able to repeat his past successes by retaining the Sungai Tua seat, in the upcoming Selangor State Election.

He said after the polling day on August 12, a coalition government will be formed in the state between Pakatan Harapan and Barisan Nasional (BN).

InsyaAllah, with the understanding, consensus, and performance highlighted in our achievements over the past five years, we are certain we will maintain the momentum of victory,” Amirudin said.

The third candidate for the seat on the ballot was speaking to the press, during the announcement of the Sungai Tua candidates at Dewan Mutiara Bestari in SMK Sungai Pusu, Gombak, earlier today.

Meanwhile, BN’s candidate for the Gombak Setia seat Datuk Megat Zulkarnain Omardin said he hopes youths will not waste their votes, but instead choose a unity candidate together with Harapan.

The BN Selangor liaisons chairman similarly faces a three-cornered fight against incumbent Muhammad Hilman Idham (PN) and Independent candidate Mohamed Salim Mohamed Ali.
