Sg Ramal spends over RM350,000 to repair schools, buy laptops for students

SHAH ALAM, July 6 — The Sungai Ramal state constituency has allocated over RM250,000 to repair and upgrade the infrastructure of several schools in its area.

Its incumbent state assemblyman Mazwan Johar said the school facilities, which have been repaired and upgraded since 2018, include toilets, fields, halls, and student assembly areas.

“Prior to this, there were some leadership and administrative changes on the Federal level, which caused delays in the allocations for school repairs and upgrades.

“As such, I moved to fulfil many of the schools’ needs at the time, including repairing school toilets, upgrading halls, among others,” he said when contacted.

Mazwan added that education, welfare, and health remain major priorities for him, inserving Sungai Ramal’s residents, hence the need to distribute the related aid.

“The Sungai Ramal state constituency office has also allocated approximately RM100,000 since last year to now, for laptops which will go to Form Six and university-level students.

“It is not limited to B40 families only, but also to families with many children who require our assistance. Recently, for the first time, RM1,350 was also donated to 135 recipients, to help them return to school and open Tabung Haji accounts,” he said.
