Amirudin officially retains Sungai Tua in state polls

SHAH ALAM, Aug 12 — Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari has officially secured his position in the Sungai Tua state constituency, registering a significant lead of 5,185 votes over his closest competitor from Perikatan Nasional (PN).

The final count saw him amassing a total of 19,678 votes, a stark contrast to PN’s Hanif Jamaluddin, who collected 14,493 votes.

Trailing further behind, the third contender, Suman Gopal, managed to secure only 430 votes.

Throughout his campaign, Amirudin heavily emphasised the accomplishments of the state administration under his leadership.

He repeatedly voiced the intent to perpetuate this legacy of success and unveiled a comprehensive economic blueprint based on the First Selangor Plan (RS-1).

This strategy aspires to enhance the living standards of Selangor’s residents.
