SHAH ALAM, Aug 15 — Kota Damansara assemblyman Muhammad Izuan Kasim said he will meet various agencies to discuss problems the constituency faces.
Izuan said local issues such as flooding, road conditions, traffic, education and land disputes are among matters he identified during his two-week campaign for the state polls.
“I want to centre several issues for solving in the short and long terms,” he said when contacted yesterday.
The Selangor Keadilan Youth chief, 32, won the Kota Damansara seat with 34,628 votes on Saturday, beating Perikatan Nasional’s Mohd Radzlan Jalaludin (28,934 votes) and Parti Sosialis Malaysia’s Sivarajan Arumugam (895 votes).
Izuan vowed not to take lightly the people’s mandate, and to perform his duty the best he can.
“This victory is the starting point of a higher responsibility, and voters believed in the plan I am bringing to Kota Damansara.
“Thank you to all voters and assisting parties. I will bear this duty with the utmost humility and modesty,” said Izuan.
