MPK health screening prog, blood donation drive draws 300

SHAH ALAM, Sept 6 — Some 300 members of the public alongside employees of the Klang Municipal Council (MPK) participated in a blood donation drive and basic health screening programme, held at Bangunan Sultan Alam Shah in Klang yesterday.

The campaign was organised in collaboration with several agencies, including the Blood Transfusion Department, Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital, and the Klang District Health Office.

Also involved were Anika Health Clinic, Sri Kota Specialist Medical Centre, and the Trendy Eye Hub Company.

The health screenings encompassed Body Mass Index tests, cholesterol checks, blood pressure monitoring, glucose tests, mental health screenings, body composition assessments, and eye examinations.

A pharmaceutical exhibition was also held, and blood donors who participated were also awarded certificates of appreciation for their contributions.
