Landslide in Bukit Jugra, road off limits for two months

SHAH ALAM, Oct 16 – The Kuala Langat Municipal Council (MPKL) has banned the public from driving up to Bukit Jugra over the next two months following a landslide in the area.

The alert was issued due to the potential risks of further landslides.

In light of the current situation, MPKL has strongly urged the public to refrain from driving along hillsides and to take precautionary measures when participating in recreational activities.

The road closure and subsequent repairs on Bukit Jugra are being done by the Public Works Department starting today.

During this two-month period, repair and stabilisation works will likely be carried out to rectify the situation and prevent further incidents.

Local residents and commuters are advised to be vigilant, adhere to warnings provided, and opt for alternative routes where necessary.
