Queen graces Arts, Crafts Expo 2023

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 21 — Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah opened the Arts and Crafts Expo 2023 today at a shopping centre in Bukit Jalil.

Her Majesty, accompanied by the Tengku Permaisuri of Selangor Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin, arrived at the venue at 11.10am.

The Arts and Crafts Expo 2023 is organised by the Malaysian Creative Sewing Arts Association (PSJKM), under the patronage of the Raja Permaisuri Agong.

The expo, themed ‘The Tunku Azizah Handmade Market: A Home For Malaysian Crafters’, showcases the works of local artists and craftsmen nationwide. It ends tomorrow.

The exhibition involved the participation of 300 local craft enthusiasts, including members of the A Home for Malaysia Crafter Club, who display their creative works in textiles, woodworking, metalwork, and other crafts.

PSJKM is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) dedicated to empowering local craft enthusiasts. It aims to promote a wide range of traditional, modern, and contemporary art and craft products to buyers from both domestic and international markets.
