Upgraded Kajang Health Clinic parking to be ready month-end

SHAH ALAM, Nov 13 — The long-standing parking issue at the Kajang Health Clinic is set to be resolved by the end of this month through the addition of 146 new bays.

Kajang assemblyman Cheong Kian Young said the move will benefit and ensure the comfort of some 500 daily visitors to the health facility.

“Among the main complaints that I have received pertains to the parking issue here, which caused many visitors to park on the road shoulders,” he said when contacted.

“This poses danger to them as well as other road users. As such, this new 60,000 sq ft parking facility is set to benefit visitors,” he said, adding that the existing staff parking will be resurfaced.

Cheong said traders operating along Jalan Semenyih, where the clinic is located, are also set to benefit from the road and parking facility upgrade.

The effort to improve the parking situation at the Kajang Health Clinic was initiated by Cheong himself, including seeking funds.

Upon the completion of works, the clinic will have a total of 204 parking bays as opposed to the current 58.
