HANOI, Nov 9 — Vietnam will remain the region’s fastest growing digital economy between 2023 and 2025, according to the 8th edition of the e-Conomy SEA Report published by Google, Temasek and Bain & Company.

Despite global macroeconomic headwinds, the country’s gross merchandise value (GMV) is expected to near US$45 billion by 2025, the third highest in the region after Indonesia at US$109 billion and Thailand at US$49 billion.

The main contributors to Vietnam’s digital economy include e-commerce which will grow 22 per cent to reach US$24 billion in 2025, online tourism up 21 per cent to US$7 billion and online media appreciated by 15 per cent to US$7 billion, it added.
