AMPANG JAYA, Dec 7 — Selangor Menteri Besar (Incorporated) or MBI handed out RM3,000 in cash assistance to the victims of the fire in Lembah Jaya Utara, Ampang here, today.

MBI head of social responsibility and corporate communications Ahmad Azri Zainal Nor said the donation was a sign of concern for the ordeal of Roslin Sulong’s family after the house they lived in was severely damaged.

“I understand that the house was a 50-year-old heritage house. The incident was caused by a fire at a car workshop in front of the victim’s house that was struck by lightning.

“We hope that this help will somewhat ease the burden of the victims.

“In addition, we will also extend this matter to the Selangor Zakat Board to get help rebuilding the house,” Ahmad Azri Zainal Nor told Selangorkini.

Lembah Jaya State Assemblyman Syed Ahmad Syed Abdul Rahman Alhadad or Altimet also made a donation to the victims
