Brunei launches food aid airdrops into Gaza

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, March 15 — Brunei has allocated over US$1 million to deliver 5,920 ready-to-eat meal packages to Gaza via airdrops, reported Xinhua quoting an offficial media Pelita Brunei report.

The report said, citing a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, that the initial delivery was carried out on Wednesday using aircraft from the Jordanian Air Force, targeting the northern coastal region of Gaza.

More deliveries were scheduled for Thursday and Friday to the same location. Each food package contains a long-lasting meal for one person, according to the report on Thursday.

The food airdrops were funded by Brunei’s Humanitarian Fund for Palestinians in Gaza 2023.
