DPM congratulates lawn bowler Farah Ain for winning gold

KUALA LUMPUR, April 29 — Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi congratulated lawn bowl athlete Nor Farah Ain Abdullah, who won the gold medal at the 2024 World Indoor Bowling Championships in Guernsey, the Channel Islands, yesterday.

The success of the 23-year-old athlete, who also contributed a bronze medal in the mixed pairs event with Izzat Shameer Dzulkeple at the tournament, proved that nothing is impossible.

“May Farah Ain continue to excel and inspire other athletes to never give up and believe in their own abilities,” he said in a Facebook post today.

Zahid also hopes that Malaysia will continue to produce more great athletes and be able to raise the country’s name on par with other countries on the world stage.

At the tournament, Nor Farah Ain made Malaysian history when she won the gold medal after a stylish 6-2,6-3 victory over Connie Rixon from Malta in the final of the women’s singles event.
