PETALING JAYA, Apr 23 — The Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) urges residents to download the recycling mobile app 3R Famili.

Mayor Mohamad Zahri Samingon said the app serves as a platform for the public to communicate with local authorities about recycling collection.

“This app makes it easier for residents to learn about the schedule for MBPJ’s recycling collection, and they can also request for collections to be conducted at their respective locations.

“We also urge councillors to help spread the word so more people can download the app,” he said after officiating the Petaling Jaya Community Recycling Carnival Programme 2024 in Dewan Bankuet of the MBPJ Civic Hall yesterday.

Zahri also encouraged the public to submit complaints, suggestions, and applications related to the local authority’s issues via MBPJ’s Public Complaints Management System (SisPAA).

“Beginning on March 1, MBPJ will upgrade its e-Aduan system to Sispaa. As a result, MBPJ’s e-Aduan app will be temporarily suspended.

“So far, SisPAA has received complaints regarding landslides, heavy rains, fallen trees, garbage, and dogs,” he added.
