RS-1 midterm review this year to assess impact — MB

HULU SELANGOR, April 28 — The state administration will review the effectiveness of the First Selangor Plan (RS-1) by tabling its midterm review by the middle of this year, said Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.

He said the review is important and necessary to ensure the five-year plan’s policies and development planning reach their intended targets.

“This year, we will table the RS-1 midterm review. The plan, which is estimated to cost RM200 billion, will ensure that all infrastructure plans and policies have a positive impact on all the communities in all of Selangor’s districts.

“Similarly, the state is not only focused on stretching the state economy but will continue to produce people-centric policies, including ISS (Iltizam Selangor Sihat) and MamaKerja,” Amirudin said.

He was speaking at the state-level Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration at Kuala Kubu Baharu yesterday night.

The celebration attracted over 30,000 attendees from across Selangor and was also attended by most of the Unity Government’s state assemblymen, the state executive councillors, and the department heads of state agencies.

State Secretary Datuk Setia Haris Kasim was also in attendance.

During the event, the state government set up 48 different booths that provided festive foods and drinks, along with several information booths promoting its initiatives.

Meanwhile, in his speech, Amirudin also reiterated Selangor’s success during the recently-held Hannover Messe 2024 international trade show in Germany, where it secured several partnerships with leading technology firms to help the state develop more skilled labour.

He added that Selangor’s success is attributed to its openness in allowing people from all over the country to seek new opportunities within its borders.

“Selangor acts as an umbrella for people of all races and backgrounds to seek a life here, where they live in peace and work towards a livable and sustainable state,” Amirudin said.
