Selangor to hold Earth Day celebration on Sunday

SHAH ALAM, April 23 — Selangor is organising its state-level Earth Day celebration at Taman Tasik Bandara, Kelana Jaya on April 28 (Sunday). 

In a Facebook post, state executive councillor for environment Jamaliah Jamaluddin said the Pesta Bumi Kita serves as an initiative to promote awareness about environmental and  earth conservation among society. 

Various activities have been lined up for the programme, which will take place from 9am to 4pm. 

Among other things, Jamaliah said there will be an eco market, workshops, cultural activities, an open mic session and an eco traditional game station. 

“Bring along your tote bags and t-shirts to take part in a silkscreen printing workshop for free,” she said in the post.

“You are also encouraged to bring recyclable items, including e-waste, and redeem green credits that can be used to shop at the eco market.”
