Better Internet coming your way, MB tells Hulu Bernam residents

HULU SELANGOR, May 4 — Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari has vowed to improve the district’s Internet services, including in Hulu Bernam, for the convenience of local residents.

He said this is vital as having seamless Internet connectivity can assist residents, particularly online traders, in increasing their income.

“We will continue developing Hulu Selangor. For instance, we want to increase the number of affordable homes here. We also have the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) in Serendah, which is nearing completion.

“Certainly, with the availability of all these facilities, it will provide added value to residents in Hulu Bernam, Sungai Teng, and the surrounding areas, who will enjoy the spillover effects.

“In fact, the Unity Government’s candidate Pang Sock Tao has included Internet access (as part of her manifesto).

“But we cannot just let Kuala Kubu Baharu enjoy this improved connectivity alone. We will also extend it to Hulu Bernam and other adjacent areas, thereby aiding online traders in generating income,” Amirudin said.

The Menteri Besar was speaking during the Jalinan Aidilfitri event with Felda members at Dewan Semai Bakti, Felda Sungai Tengi today, which was attended by thousands of visitors.

Also present were the state executive councillor for Islam Dr Fahmi Ngah and Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) chief executive officer Saipolyazan M Yusop.

Yesterday, during the Rumah Selangorku Legenda Ardea ground-breaking ceremony here, Amirudin said the state government will focus on redeveloping cities and districts like Hulu Selangor by incorporating various modern facilities.

To achieve this, he said the state will implement “boosting” projects, including developing education and training institutions, as well as the car manufacturing sector, to rejuvenate the economy in these areas.
