JPJ temporarily moves KL Trade Unit operations following overflow incident

KUALA LUMPUR, May 9 — The operations of the Trade Unit, Vehicle Licensing Division of the Road Transport Department (JPJ), her, has been temporarily relocated following the water overflow incident due to heavy rain on Tuesday.

In a statement yesterday, the JPJ said the office in question, which operates at Gate 4, has been temporarily shifted to Gates 5 and 2 to ensure no disruption of the unit’s operations.

“The department apologises for the inconvenience caused and always strives to ensure that the infrastructure of the JPJ office is at its best level,” said the statement.

In the incident at 2pm on Tuesday, there was an overflow of water in the office involved, and the incident went viral on social media.

Following this, the JPJ collaborated with the Kuala Lumpur Public Works Department to identify the cause of the incident and carry out repair work for the safety and comfort of customers.
