Two Malaysians hurt in bomb blast in southern Thailand

KUALA LUMPUR, May 7 — Wisma Putra has confirmed an explosion at a safety zone checkpoint in Tha Phraya Sai in Narathiwat, Thailand, yesterday at 9.35pm.

“Two Malaysians were reportedly injured. Both received outpatient treatment at Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra Hospital and were discharged today,” said the ministry in a statement.

Wisma Putra urged Malaysians in the vicinity to stay vigilant and follow updates provided by Thai authorities.
