HULU LANGAT, Aug 8 — The state government is encouraging the construction of more hotels and homestays to further boost the tourism sector in Beranang.
Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said these facilities are also necessary to accommodate the influx of tourists, including those from abroad, following the construction of the Horizon Beranang Circuit.
The Kajang Municipal Council (MPKj) will identify strategic sites and potential investors to provide these facilities.
“Following the construction of the Horizon Beranang Circuit, various international championships are expected to be organised here. However, the current number of hotels is insufficient to accommodate the arrival of tourists, including those from overseas.
“Beranang has always been a popular destination, as it is close to Bukit Broga. Therefore, the construction of more hotels will offer tourists more options and encourage them to visit other attractions, like Sungai Congkak and Sungai Lui,” he said.
Speaking to the press after officiating the Horizon Beranang Circuit today, Amirudin the circuit, developed by the Horizon Motorsport club in collaboration with the state government via MPKj, aligns with the First Selangor Plan’s objectives.
“Selangor hopes to see a strong synergy and close cooperation between government departments, private companies, and individuals in developing the state, as exemplified by this circuit collaboration.
“If we rely solely on the government for development, it will not progress as rapidly,” he said.
The circuit, situated on 5.7 acres of land, features a one kilometre racing track with 13 corners and is equipped with various facilities.
