Thunderstorm in Selangor waters

SHAH ALAM, FEB 24: Thunderstorm in the waters of Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Malacca, Eastern Johore, Sarawak (Kuching & Rejang) dan Sabah (Kudat) are expected to continue until this morning.
The Malaysian Meteorological Department said the situation can cause strong winds up to 50 kilometres per hour (kmhr).
“Thunderstorms will cause rough seas with waves reaching as high as 3.5 metres and is dangerous to small boats,” it said in an updated statement at 6.12 this morning.
Meanwhile, the thunderstorms are expected to continue until this morning affecting shipping activities at the Southern Straits of Malacca, Reef South as well as Sulu.
The Department said, there are risks of strong winds up to 50 kmhr and rough seas with waves reaching 3.5 metres high posing danger to small boats.
