KUALA LUMPUR, March 18 — Following the implementation of the nationwide movement control order, the National Library (PNM) has launched a “Sit at Home and Read a Book” campaign.

PNM via its official Instagram platform had announced that over 13.2 million digital reading materials are accessible online for free on its official website at www.u-pustaka.gov.my.

In its bid to curtail the Covid-19 pandemic that has gripped the world, PNM has temporarily closed its door to the public until April 30.

All of its programmes and activities scheduled to be carried out throughout the month of March has also been postponed until the end of April.

On March 16, Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin declared that Malaysia would be under the movement control order effective today until March 31.

The order includes a comprehensive restriction on public movements and gatherings throughout the country including religious, sports, social and cultural activities.
