Facilities under Motac closed until April 30

KUALA LUMPUR, April 15 — All public facilities under the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (Motac) have been ordered to close with immediate effect until April 30.

Its Minister Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri in a statement yesterday said the move was made in the interest of public health and to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

“All heads of departments and agencies have been ordered to close and carry out disinfection work at the public facilities,” she said.

The facilities are the Department of Museums, the National Visual Arts Development Board, the National Heritage Department, the National Archives of Malaysia, the Malaysian Handicraft Development Corporation, the National Library of Malaysia, the National Department for Culture and Arts, Malaysia Tourism Centre and Istana Budaya.
