GOMBAK, Nov 29 — The Selangor government plans to expand the issuance of business licences to people affected by Covid-19 next year.

Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said efforts to encourage people to venture into online business is also implemented for them to generate income for themselves.

“We have Selangor Internet Data initiative to facilitate the people to do business online, this is our intention to help change the fate of the people.

“The 2021 Selangor Budget focuses more on efforts to overcome challenges in recovering the economy affected by the outbreak,” said Amirudin at the Sungai Tua Community Assistance handout programme yesterday.

He said the state government is also formulating programmes to enhance workers’ skills level, for retraining or to enable them to learn new skills to support their existing capabilities.

“If we lose our job, we have to get up to learn new skills and try to find work in other sectors or try doing business,” he said.

Commenting further, Amirudin said the housing sector is among their main focus for next year, especially in providing the ‘Rumah Idaman’ and ‘Rumah SelangorKu Harapan’.
