1.84 mln individuals complete two-dose vaccination in Selangor

SHAH ALAM, Aug 9 — A total of 1.84 million individuals in Selangor or 38.7 per cent of the population registered for Covid-19 vaccines have completed the two-dose vaccination as of today.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said 5.41 million vaccine doses were administered to the Selangor people under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK).

“Out of the total number, 3.57 million or 75.2 per cent have received their first dose.

“Meanwhile, an additional 253,562 doses were delivered via the Selangor Vaccination Programme (Selvax),” he said.

Earlier today, the Special Committee on Covid-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV) shared in an infographic on Twitter stating the recorded daily vaccination rate in Selangor as of August 8 is at 88,735 out of the total 389,641 doses of vaccines administered nationwide.
