Two Rumah SelangorKu in Gombak to resume construction

GOMBAK, Oct — Two Rumah SelangorKu housing projects namely Nilam and Kristal at Taman Mutiara Selayang, here, which were abandoned since 2013, will resume its construction.

State executive councillor for housing Rodziah Ismail said the projects could be continued after nine squatters families in Kampung Bendahara who lived at the development site agreed to be relocated. 

“After resolving the issue of land ownership for the squatters, this means we can continue with the project again. The buyers does not have to wait anymore.

“The projects were abandoned for nine years. We expect to complete it within a year,” she said when met at Dewan Rakyat, Padang Awam Batu Caves, yesterday.

Earlier, Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari handed over the land ownership offer or Notice 5A to 19 squatters in the district.

He said the offer of land swap at Kuang and Batu Arang involves 10 residents from Kampung Sungai Tua while the remaining are from Kampung Bendahara.
