MBI allocates RM500,000 for sports activities

SERDANG, March 20 — Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) or MBI has allocated RM500,000 for sports activities under its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme.

Its CSR head Ahmad Azri Zainal Nor said that MBI had distributed some RM50,000 to several sports associations in the state.

“The allocation is in the form of sponsorships or funding for any sports-related activities organised at the community, village or residential level.

“Apart from that, MBI also helps sponsor the athlete’s participation at the international level. We are willing to help,” he said after handing over a donation of RM15,000 to the Selangor Rugby Association president Syed Aldrin Syed Ahmad Kabeer at Universiti Putra Malaysia here on March 19.

Ahmad Azri said any party who seeks donation and sponsorship could present their proposals to MBI.

“We will accept all applications regardless of how they want to organise it, be it for the community, residential, amateur or junior level. We will review all of the applications,” he added.
