Three rivers in Selangor reach warning level

SHAH ALAM, Dec 11 — Three river stations in Selangor under the purview of the Drainage and Irrigation Department (DID) have reached the warning level as of 8pm today.

The https://publicinfobanjir.water.gov.my/ website shows that water level at Sungai Buloh station in Sri Aman stood at 7.38 metres (normal level 5.00 metres), water level at Sungai Binjai station has reached 4.04 metres (normal level 2.80 metres) while water level at P/A Pandamaran in Klang has reached 2.03 metres (normal level 1.20 metres).

Apart from that, seven more areas were at alert levels namely the Sungai Bernam station in Kampung Sungai Selisek, Sungai Selangor (Rantau Panjang), Sungai Kandis (Kampung Jawa), Sungai Rasau (Tugu Keris), Sungai Klang (Bandar Klang), Sungai Langat (Batu 12 Hulu Langat) and Sungai Labu station at Kampung Salak Tinggi.

DID also issued a notice of preparedness on the possibility for flash floods to occur in Selangor, involving several districts including Sepang, Petaling and Klang should heavy rain persist in a 24 hour period.
