Solar lamps installed in Bukit Melawati for safety, convenience of residents — State rep

By Sheeda Fathil

SHAH ALAM, Dec 22 — A total of 13 solar lights have been installed in three areas of the Bukit Melawati state constituency to increase the safety of road users at night.

Its state assemblyman Juwairiya Zulkifli said the installation works along Jalan Raja Abdullah, Kampung Tanjung Keramat and Kampung Sepakat began on December 10 and was completed four days later.

“These three areas have no lights and accidents frequently occur, not to mention they are commonly used as pathways by wild animals like wild boar.

“Residents have often complained and want lights to be installed there, so to this I applied with the state government via the state executive councillor for infrastructure.

Alhamdulillah it was approved,” she said when contacted by SelangorKini yesterday.

Juwairiya said she hopes road users and villagers will feel safer and more comfortable now when using the roads at night.
