Permatang state rep hands over cash assistance, food items to fire victims

SHAH ALAM, Feb 7 — The plight of four families who lost their homes in a fire incident two days ago in Taman Seri Belimbing, Kuala Selangor, has been brought to the attention of Permatang’s state representative.

Its state assemblyman Rozana Zainal Abidin has come forward to help the victims by handing over some cash assistance and basic food items to reduce their burdens.

“Two days ago, I was shocked when I heard about the fire that destroyed four homes in Taman Seri Belimbing due to a short circuit.

“I offer my condolences to those involved and hopefully they will remain strong during these trying times. I hope the assistance would help alleviate their burdens,” she told SelangorKini.

Rozana also reminded everyone to be wary and always check the electrical wiring system at their homes to avoid any untoward incident.

“Frequent inspection must be done and use approved electrical appliances. Ensure that all plugs have been switched off before going out,” she added.
