SHAH ALAM, March 17 — The Selangor government, through Yayasan Hijrah Selangor, is providing two special Ramadan bazaar sites in the district here to help traders who receive funding from the foundation.

State executive councillor for housing, urban wellbeing and entrepreneur development Rodziah Ismail said 62 traders have registered for this initiative which involves 22 traders at Section 7, site and 40 traders at the Section U3 site here.

Traders under the Hijrah Selangor initiative who still have not obtained Ramadan bazaar lots can try for the remaining 20 trading slots in Section U3, by applying to the agency before the first day of the fasting month.

“They can do business at a separate site operated by Hijrah Selangor with a rental price of RM650 for the whole of Ramadan,” she told reporters after the ceremony to hand over business permits and cashless devices to Hijrah Selangor Ramadan Bazaar traders, earlier today.

Rodziah said Hijrah Selangor will also cooperate with Beez Fintech Sdn Bhd (bayarlah), which provides cashless devices for use by traders at the Hijrah Selangor Ramadan bazaar sites.

Visitors to the bazaars can use the bayarlah QR code to facilitate faster and easier acceptance of payments from all local banks, Touch ‘N Go, GrabPay, and the like.

“So, I hope it can benefit everyone involved in the bazaars and the important thing is that we want the visitors to practice cashless purchases,” she added.
