KUALA SELANGOR, June 9 — The First Selangor Plan (RS-1) will ensure the welfare of all residents, including those in the state’s northern region, said Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.

He said the state government is committed to formulating a development plan to bring progress and prosperity to all Selangor residents.

“Via RS-1, from the first day in 2018, we already featured a plan to develop Tanjong Karang alongside several projects in the Kuala Selangor area, up to Sekinchan. This is indicative of the new ideas we have to balance the development between urban and rural areas.

“With the experience and spirit of Kita Selangor that we have gathered through today’s programme, we can continue with the state’s planning and development,” Amirudin said.

He was speaking during the Kenduri Rakyat programme and aid handover for farmers, at Masjid Jamie At-Tuqa in Kuala Selangor earlier today.

The Menteri Besar also called on locals to maintain their spirit of unity, in order to continue Selangor’s development agenda and safeguard the people’s welfare.

“We require this spirit of unity to rise up once more, following the Covid-19 pandemic and its economic effects,” he said.
