Muslims in Thailand to celebrate Aidiladha on June 29

BANGKOK, June 19 — Muslims in Thailand will celebrate Hari Raya Aidiladha on June 29 (Thursday), Sheikhul Islam of Thailand, Aziz Phitakkumpon announced today.

“It has been confirmed that the new crescent moon has been sighted (after sunset on Monday). Therefore, the first day of Dhu Al Hijjah AH 1444 is on Tuesday (June 20) and the Eid al-Adha AH 1444 will be on Thursday (June 29),” he said in a statement.

Muslims in Malaysia will also celebrate Hari Raya Aidiladha on June 29.
