SHAH ALAM, July 4 — The mega road resurfacing project, ongoing statewide since May, is being continued by Infrasel Sdn Bhd (Infrasel) along Jalan Persiaran Puchong Permai in Subang Jaya.
The state road maintenance company said the resurfacing works in the area are being carried out by removing the damaged road layers and replacing them with new ones (mill and pave).
“As of today, the ongoing road restoration work along Jalan Persiaran Puchong Permai is 40 per cent completed,” said Infrasel on Twitter.
The state government has allocated RM50 million for large-scale road resurfacing works throughout Selangor, as part of the efforts to improve public facilities.
This is in addition to the annual RM500 million fund for managing all state roads encompassing nine districts, measuring at 94.9 kilometres.
Expected to be fully completed by the end of July, the road works include a total of 66 roads being resurfaced in Petaling, 39 in Klang, 29 in Gombak, 27 in Hulu Langat, 19 in Sepang, 17 in Sabak Bernam, 16 in Kuala Langat, 11 in Kuala Selangor, and eight in Hulu Selangor.
As of last year, Infrasel has carried out over 39,000 road resurfacing works, which were completed within 24 hours, based on public complaints on Twitter.
