SHAH ALAM, Nov 2 — The Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) recently won the gold award during the International Convention on Quality Control Circle (ICQCC) 2023 in Beijing, China.

Represented by Kumpulan Archy from the council’s Buildings and Architecture Department, MPAJ introduced the ‘Pocket Water’ innovation, a portable rainwater harvesting system (SPAH) encompassing various aspects of sustainable development goals (SDG) implementation.

MPAJ said the international convention is a platform and benchmark for it to seek strategic partners in developing and commercialising this innovation.

“May this success catalyse the council in preserving innovative development towards achieving the vision of a digital and sustainable city by 2025,” it said.
