By Nas Norziela Nasbah

SHAH ALAM, Dec 26 — The Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) has collected approximately RM3,393,885.80 in business license fees as of December 19th.

Its President Ani Ahmad said the collection involved 4,910 premises renewing their licenses through the iCOMM system, while 223 did so manually.

“In addition, for the renewal of Micro Entrepreneur licenses in 2024, 4,087 hawkers renewed their licenses via the E-hawker system, with RM 500,750.81 in revenue collected.

“License holders will automatically be subject to a RM360 late fee if they renew their licenses after December 31,” she said.

Aini added that license holders had been reminded to pay their assessment tasks and settle any arrears in line with the Integrated Approval System’s (SKB) implementation to avoid processing failures.

“Any appeals related to late fee exemptions will not be entertained,” she said.

The renewal of business premise licenses will be fully implemented online through the MPAJ iCOMM system, which can be visited at icomm.mpaj.gov.my, while the renewal of micro-entrepreneur licenses can be done through the E-hawker system at intranet.mpaj.gov.my.
